The return of the repressed

BOW Foundation is exhibiting the works of Louise Bourgeois under the name " The return of the repressed." This exhibition began on 19 March and will until June 19, 2011 . Bourgeois, one of the most recognized artists of the twentieth century, was born in Paris in 1911, and lived in the United States from 1938 until his last days in 2010.
The exhibition begins with the famous spider Maman (1999) Proa at the entrance and inside the rooms you can enjoy more than 70 works. They show how psychoanalysis intervened in their thinking. In his works reflect their inner world, his criticism of psychoanalytic concepts, their relationships familares, the place of father, mother, daughter and sexuality.
Fundación Proa is in La Boca (Av. Pedro de Mendoza 1929) and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 am to 19 pm. Every day at 17 pm. performed a tour that allows to know and be closer to what the artist wanted to convey. The entrance fee is $ 10 for the general public and $ 6 for students.
